COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES PROGRAMS
What Is CAP?
CAP stands for Community Activities Program. It is the heart of our outreach efforts at Empowerment Action Center.
Based on Acts 1:8 (“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…”), CAP equips our members to go out into their local communities and make a lasting impact.

We believe that by telling people about Jesus through word and action, we fulfill our calling to be His witnesses—spreading the good news and demonstrating Christ’s love through service, compassion, and outreach.
Our Core Beliefs in Action:

-
Witnessing through Service: We believe that telling people about Jesus starts with showing them His love through service, kindness, and meeting the needs of those around us.
-
Empowerment for Outreach: Through the power of the Holy Spirit, every believer is equipped to share the gospel boldly and make a difference in their community.
-
Transformation through Community: By serving others and being witnesses of Jesus, we not only transform individual lives but also build stronger, healthier communities that reflect the Kingdom of God.
Community Outreach Events:
We regularly organize community outreach events that focus on meeting the needs of our local area while sharing the message of Jesus. These events are an opportunity to serve others while building meaningful relationships with those outside the church.
Types of Outreach Events Include:
-
Feeding the Hungry: Serving meals to the homeless and families in need, sharing the love of Christ through hospitality.
-
Clothing and Essentials Drives: Collecting clothing, toiletries, and other essentials to distribute to those in need.
-
Back-to-School Initiatives: Providing school supplies, backpacks, and resources to students in the community to help them succeed academically.
-
Holiday Outreach: Hosting special events around Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving to serve the community, spread joy, and share the gospel message.
Evangelism and Witnessing Programs:
As part of CAP, we also focus on personal evangelism and witnessing. Inspired by Acts 1:8, we equip every believer with the tools they need to share their faith with confidence, whether it’s in the workplace, at school, or in their local neighborhoods.
Evangelism Programs Include:
-
Witness Training: Teaching members how to share their testimony and the gospel message in a way that’s impactful and relatable.
-
Street Evangelism: Groups of believers go out into the community to spread the message of Jesus through conversations, prayer, and acts of kindness.
-
Door-to-Door Evangelism: Visiting homes in the local community to offer prayer, encouragement, and information about the church and Jesus’ love.
Serving with Compassion:
At the heart of CAP is a deep commitment to serving with compassion—following the example of Jesus who met people’s needs while telling them about the Kingdom of God. Every act of service is an opportunity to reflect Christ’s love.
Compassionate Programs Include:
-
Visiting the Sick and Shut-in: Members regularly visit hospitals and homes to pray for the sick, offer words of encouragement, and bring hope to those who are hurting.
-
Support for Families in Crisis: Whether it’s providing meals for families going through hard times or offering financial assistance for those in need, we come alongside families to provide both spiritual and practical support.
-
Mentorship and Counseling: Offering one-on-one support and mentorship for individuals who need guidance, whether it’s for spiritual growth, life challenges, or personal development.
